The Olympic torch is delayed….by the Abraham’s Sale!

It has been reported that the procession of the Olympic torch has been delayed by a significant stop-off in the beautiful and historic village of Kirkby Lonsdale.

According to local witnesses, the Abraham’s half-price sale, which began on Saturday 21st July, appeared to be the cause of the interruption in proceedings, with the torch bearer unable to resist the lure of a bargain.

With savings of more than 50% on all clothing and accessories*, the Abraham’s sale has been a firm fixture in the calendar of their discerning clientele for more than a decade, and is a favourite for those who appreciate products that are beautifully made and classically designed.

“We were surprised that the torch-bearer was able to carry the torch under the weight of so many bags of goodies” said a local by-stander.

*Sale excludes ‘Creed’ range.
